Smart Grid Systems represent a paradigm shift in the energy sector, incorporating real-time informatics, intelligent automation, and cybersecurity measures to enhance energy efficiency and grid reliability. This article explores the intersection of energy informatics and cybersecurity, evaluating how digital transformation within energy networks poses new risks and opportunities. Using case studies from Pakistan and global best practices, we assess the architecture, challenges, and strategies for securing smart grids in the context of rising cyber threats and increasing energy demand.
